Grants

Tore A Jonasson was himself a passionate sportsman and art collector. One result of his strong commitment to both worlds, and his wise investments in stocks and shares, is this Foundation, which not only makes it possible to run Konsthall 16 and acquire art for a new collection, but also to award grants annually to artists and people active in sports.

The sports grant recipients are selected annually by a sports committee appointed by the Foundation. For this purpose, the Foundation consults representatives of Idrottens Vänner and Riksidrottsförbundet (the Swedish Sports Confederation). Information on how to apply for sports grants is issued to Sweden’s sports federations each autumn.

Artist grant recipients are awarded annually by the art committee appointed by the Foundation. Applications are not accepted for artist grants.
The grants are awarded in February each year.
